![]() And with prices ranging from 93 per night to 285 per night, it’s easy to find lodging or campsites near Ochoco National Forest that suits your budget, too. With 629 lodges, cabins and hotels in the park and the surrounding towns, your perfect adventure is ready and waiting for you. I definitely won't be back, and I certainly couldn't recommend this place to anyone else. Ochoco National Forest really is the place to be. I really don't get the concept of sinking millions into building a new casino and making it so unappealing to the vast majority of people who might want to visit. All in all, the place has a cheap, thrown-together look to it, with maximum effort put into getting the gambler's money, and minimum effort put into a pleasant experience and a fun atmosphere. There's also no place that I saw for RV parking. ![]() Outside, there's nowhere to sit and relax for a moment, and nowhere to walk a dog if you're traveling. The cheesy little snack bar is right off the casino floor, with cheap food and a handful of tables, so if you want something to eat you can sit in the noise and the smoke. There's no non-smoking gaming area, and their ventilation system is terrible. The casino reeks of smoke, and there's no place to get out of it. The better location is the only thing it has going for it. This new casino was obviously positioned to take advantage of traffic on Highway 26 and grab more of the tourist dollars as they pass by between Bend and Portland. ![]() They also had a really nice, non-smoking restaurant. They had two floors, a non-smoking gaming area, and an outdoor area overlooking the pool where you could take a break. The old Indian Head Casino at the Ka-Ne-Ta resort was actually pretty nice, even though it was smaller and off the beaten track.
